Our Mission

ACNC’s mission is to enhance the lives of children with autism through evidence-based treatment provided in a dynamic environment built for learning and exploration.

Children learn best through play, which means that acquiring new skills should be a fun and rewarding experience. This understanding, along with a recognition that the journey to one’s full potential is different for every individual, guides our approach to therapy. Through personalized and compassionate care, we are dedicated to fully supporting your child along the path to success.

Our Founder

Autism Centers of North Carolina is the result of Caroline Kelly’s lifelong passion for helping young children develop a love of learning. Caroline has over 15 years of experience serving children with special needs, including roles as an educator, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Special Education Advocate, and a specialist in compliance and ethics.

Caroline’s experience spans a wide range of instructional settings. She has been a state-licensed teacher in elementary, kindergarten, and preschool settings; has served in both traditional and montessori classrooms; has developed curriculum for children with special needs and for their neurotypical peers; and has spent years working with children with autism as a BCBA. This diverse background enables Caroline to draw on a variety of educational and therapeutic modalities, focusing on what will be most effective for each individual child. ACNC reflects Caroline’s devotion to serving individuals in her home state and supporting the local community by ensuring that children with autism have access to essential services.
