Assessment

Prior to beginning therapy, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a formal assessment with your child. This process will help us better understand your child’s strengths and deficits, and will provide the basis for a comprehensive treatment plan. Assessments will be conducted at regular intervals to create a clear picture of your child’s progress over time.

Individualized ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapeutic approach based on the science of learning and behavior. By targeting the environmental factors that are impeding a child’s development, ABA can help a child overcome those barriers, learn functional skills, and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

At ACNC, you’ll find a highly personalized approach to treatment. This is reflected not only in the unique goals developed to match your child’s particular needs, but also in the specific procedures used to accomplish them. Just as no two children are exactly alike, no two therapy programs will be identical either. ABA therapy is provided in a one-on-one format so that your child always has the full attention and support of a dedicated therapist.

Our clinic features private therapy rooms for your child to have their own quiet space that’s free of distraction. Beyond these individual therapy spaces, we offer customized play rooms and other common areas that are uniquely tailored to be warm, inviting, and fun. This therapeutic environment provides endless opportunities for social engagement and group activities, with the goal of setting up our clients for success in the classroom and broader community.

Supervision

Each client’s therapy team is led by a BCBA, who is responsible for supervising and directing every aspect of treatment. This includes directly overseeing therapy sessions, while also engaging in many forms of indirect support as well. BCBAs conduct assessments, create treatment plans, routinely analyze data, and make treatment modifications when needed to ensure that your child is always making progress toward their goals.

Family Collaboration and Training

Learning happens first in the home. This is why our commitment to enriching the lives of our clients reaches beyond the walls of our clinic. Our BCBAs understand that family involvement is vital to the success of ABA therapy. Through collaborative coaching sessions, we will work together to ensure that your child’s achievements are not limited to the therapy setting, but extend to the home, school, and community where they can have the greatest impact.
